Athens Electrified by the enthralling Porsche Taycan Turbo
Besides being an authentic sport model, Taycan is also a model of historic significance for the Porsche brand and the automotive industry at large. As such, the creative powerhouse of the Automotive Business Hub grasped the opportunity and created a series of videos for Porsche Hellas, driving the celebrated Taycan Turbo in landmark locations around Attica and roads teeming with driving pleasure and excitement.
Unparalleled performance, technology straight out of endurance races and the future of mobility, breathtaking design and the genuine Porsche character. All in all, if there is one electric car capable of touching the heart of the most inveterate petrolhead, have no doubt, that this is the Porsche Taycan. From the birth of the legendary 911 to the automotive future of zero carbon emissions, that is the distance travelled by the new Taycan. And now it has arrived as the missionary of the electric future of cars with an important message for everyone. But, to get the message through, it needs to be transmitted by a suitable medium and a powerful narrative.
Research conducted by digital industry giants such as Google, Facebook and Twitter all point to the same direction: as the technological addiction of all audiences and potential customers increases, the medium with the comparatively greatest impact in the car buying process is the video format. Used in creative and well-designed manner, video triggers the imagination of potential customers, allowing them to envision themselves in the driver’s seat, while it moves in the screen. Moreover, if they recognize the model shown in a familiar setting, the unconscious bonding of the potential customer with the product shown is even stronger.
With this in mind, Porsche Hellas decided on producing a series of videos titled “Athens Electrified”. Defined by the merging of tradition, aesthetic beauty and technological edge, the videos serve as testimony of Taycan’s uniqueness. Reflecting the long tradition it carries with it, the new Porsche Taycan is visiting monuments that are hardwired to the city’s DNA and passes through routes of global historical significance, such as the original Marathon route. But the Porsche Taycan is also a herald of the future. And so, as it drives through the breathtaking Athens Riviera, we are ready to welcome this bright, cleaner and beautiful future.
The original concept was conceived and developed by the in-house production department of the Automotive Business Hub. The production team went through the legal procedures to secure the permits needed for carrying on the production and, of course, was responsible for the implementation of the concept (video shooting and postproduction). The high-quality end result for a brand of the stature of Porsche and for a model as unique as the Taycan could be made possible by the combination of video production experience and refined automotive culture that only GOCAR can ensure.
